SUNSHINE PROMOTIONS PROMISES MASSIVE EVENT IN 2021
St. George’s, Grenada – With Night of Love 2020 less than 8 weeks away, Grenadian entertainment
company Sunshine Promotions has decided to cancel its annual staging of the Mother’s Day event,
which was scheduled for Saturday, May 9 at the National Cricket Stadium, due to the COVID-19
pandemic.
The decision was made following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic which has had global, regional
and national implications across various sectors including health, travel, accommodation,
transportation and entertainment. Informed by the direction of Grenada’s government and Ministry
of Health officials, who are in turn guided by the protocols of the Pan-American Health Organization
and the World Health Organization, Sunshine Promotions must, unfortunately, confirm the
cancellation of Night of Love.
“The world is faced with fighting this virus and we can all agree that this is a period of uncertainty for
Grenada and the rest of the Caribbean. Although this was a difficult decision to make, the health and
safety of all including our performers, patrons, partners and team members are of paramount
importance to us,” shared Ian St. Bernard, Managing Director, Sunshine Promotions.
Sunshine Promotions understand the need to be compliant with public health officials during this time
to mitigate the risk and impact of this virus and will do its part to ensure that the precautionary
guidelines are upheld, particularly social distancing and the restriction of high-density gatherings.
“Over the past weeks, we have been in conversations with our scheduled performers and other
stakeholders and we are all in agreement that this is the best decision given the unpredictability of
the next few weeks,” continued St. Bernard.

The performers slated for this year’s Night of Love will be featured as a part of the 2021 staging of the
event, on Saturday, May 8, as Sunshine Promotions will be celebrating its 20th Anniversary in
entertainment. The company intends to stage a massive celebration that will not only feature this
year’s confirmed acts but will also see the return of some of the favourites to have graced the Sunshine
Promotion stage over the years.
Sunshine Promotions assures its loyal patrons, partners, performers and the public that once life
beings to normalize and the threat of the COVID-19 virus has been suppressed, the company will
continue with the staging of its annual calendar events which has brought joy to many over the past
