The National Water and Sewerage Authority (NAWASA) NAWASA officially announces the retirement of Mr. Christopher Husbands, General Manager effective March 4, 2024. Mr. Husbands has dedicated an impressive thirty-three (33) years and four (4) months to our organization, leaving behind a legacy of exceptional service.

Mr. Husbands’ journey with NAWASA began on October 15, 1990, when he joined as an Engineer with the Central Water Commission (CWC). One of his early achievements included overseeing the construction of the Grand Anse Sewerage Project.

Throughout his tenure, Mr. Husbands held various key roles, including Engineer-Head of Planning, Design & Construction, and Manager-Planning, Design and Construction. Owing to his extensive experience and education, he seamlessly transitioned into the role of Acting General Manager before being officially appointed as General Manager on June 1, 2009. He successfully held this position for a remarkable fourteen (14) years and ten (10) months.

Mr. Husbands’ contribution to NAWASA and Grenada’s Water Sector has been invaluable. His meticulous attention to detail, unwavering commitment, and willingness to go above and beyond have played a pivotal role in elevating our organization to greater heights.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, Management, and Staff of NAWASA we extend our heartfelt wishes to Mr. Christopher Husbands on his well-deserved retirement. May this new chapter be a fulfilling and rewarding journey for him.
