Hillsborough, Carriacou, December 11th, 2018 – This weekend Carriacou comes alive with the annual Parang Festival with six bands registered to participate in 2018. All are invited to enjoy the traditional Christmas Carols as well as hear the humorous retelling of all that happened during the year on ‘Melee Parang’ night.
The following is the Schedule for the weekend of Dec 14th – 16th, 2018:
Friday 14th December
GTA Meet and Greet Tyrrel Bay Port – :10:30am
Parang Train, GTA Carriacou Office Grounds-7pm
Saturday 15th December – 7:30pm
Hosanna Night (Traditional Christmas Carols), Carriacou Vendors Market
Admission-Free
Sunday 16th December – 7:30pm
Melee Parang Night, Carriacou Vendors Market-The night will feature six bands along with King Ajamu, Hess and the Boys, Lakay from mainland Grenada and from Trinidad, Prince Unique and Impulse
